First introduced to the Pilates Method as a dancer at the School of American Ballet, Gina was naturally drawn to Pilates. Her 600+ hour apprenticeship and 20+ years of teaching in New York City, Martha's Vineyard, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and internationally, have given her a genuine and contagious love of Pilates and a desire to spread the enjoyment and benefits to others.
Gina received her Pilates Certification in 2003 through the Pilates Studio of New York, Inc. She trained primarily with Master Teachers Romana Kryzanowska and Sari Mejia Santo at Pilates Seattle International and apprenticed under Teacher of Teachers, Roxanne Murata, at the Portland Pilates Center before relocating to NYC and completing her certification with Master Teacher, Brett Howard.
Gina brings to her teaching a sense of humor and adventure. "The more you laugh, the more you use your abdominals! I was personally hooked on Pilates after my first private session, and knew I wanted to teach by my third. What I enjoy most, is that you're never doing anything long enough to hate it. Pilates flows like a dance. No more mindless repetitions. Welcome to precise Pilates."
Gina has taught Pilates across the globe as a Guest Instructor with Escape to Shape, traveling to Mexico, Morocco, Colombia and Bali. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Columbia University.
